ALUMNI

Aarya Mantri

3rd  year MBBS student at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune

I remember having joined DGKIS in 2006 as a young kid surrounded by many alike, mentored & molded by so many teachers. It always gave me a feeling of second home so much so that I visited school every other month, as a stress buster, during my preparation for NEET. Today, I am pursuing MBBS and grateful to all mates, friends and teachers for where I am.

Aditi Naudiyal

I started my journey in D.G Khetan international school from the third standard in the year 2006, since the very beginning I was intrigued by the application based curriculum and the endless academic competitions which made my communication skills my biggest strength. D.G.K.I.S has been like a family to me, the love and support I received from everyone was immense and I was always encouraged to achieve more and truly believed that the sky is the limit.

During my junior college I got an opportunity to represent my institute in the Model United Nations conference held in Yale University, USA. Then there was no looking back since then, D. G. Khetan gave wings to my dreams. I wouldn’t have made it through without the unconditional support and endless motivation by my teachers, Principal Kavita ma’am and the whole staff of D. G. Khetan. I’m glad to have received best education and schooling i could ever imagine. Today I’m a Financial  Advisor in Scotiabank which is one of the top 5 charter banks of Canada and the leading bank in North America. As a child I always read this aim on my school diary which said, “shaping Indian souls with global vision” and today when I look back, I can proudly say that my institute and I were successful in doing so.

Work Experience

C.A. – Internship at:

PricewaterhouseCoopers (Sept 2018 – Feb 2019)

A.T. Jain & Co. (Feb 2019 – Sept 2021)

I had joined DGKIS in the4th Grade (2008) and completed my A – Levels in 2017.

Throughout the years, the entire team at DGKIS has looked after me with utmost care and concern. They ensured that every possible resource was provided to me to impartthe right quality of education. They not only trained me to score well in my exams, but also helped me gain a practical understanding of the knowledge imparted. The Teachers have always entertained my endless queries and doubts, even after regular school hours, until I was confident enough to move forward.

They have motivated me to dream big, and pursue my interests, without letting it hamper my education.

With greater focus on the holistic development of students, DGKIS has always strived to expose their students to new challenges, and allow them to showcase their talent in the field of arts, business, leadership, public speaking etc. I have always participated in the activities offered by the Institute. Thishas helped meimmensely to enrich mypersonality, and prepared me to compete outside my comfort zone.

My Institute has nurtured me into a person who accepts challenges, and is always eager to explore new opportunities in his career. Little do we realize, that the ethics and principals which we come across in our school, have a great impact in our approach towards both, our personal and professional lives. The values of respecting our juniors, peers and seniors, guiding everybody who seeks help, and to avoid unethical activities to achieve self-advancement, have been inculcated in the students silently during the course of the School.

Moreover, like everybody else, even I wish to turn back time and live my school days again. However, I am gratuitous towards my School, to gift me with memories, which I cherish every day, and believe that I am still a student, learning at every step of my life.

D.G. Khetan International School has been a second home to me since I’ve spent ten years of my life in this institution. I’m thankful to all the teachers who’ve helped me get where I am today. From Plethora to MUNs, from annual day to sports day, I’ve cherished each and every moment here and some part of me wishes to go back in time to relive these memories. Thank you DGKIS!

Sivkan Kaur Nanda

I passed my grade 10 from D. G. Khetan international school. I completed my high school at Rekhatai Pushpakant Mahtre Jr College of Science. I am currently pursuing Bachelor in Pharmacy, 3rd year, from SVKM’S Dr. Bhanubhen Nanavati college of pharmacy.

As a student, I have been a part of DGKIS for six years. I had memorable schooling years. Academics wise the teachers are highly qualified in their subjects. They are an integral part of our holistic development and motivation. They are always ready to help and guide us. Even after working hours, teachers stay back and clear our doubts. Multiple activities are practiced before and after the topic for a better understanding of the concepts. The methods of delivering lectures are also very well planned. Not only academics, but the school encourages extra-curricular activities to help students to build themselves apart from just academic background. Many such events such as Model United Nations, annual day, interschool competition including various sports and arts-related activities, and other speech competitions enhance both students’ physical and mental ability while also developing their personality for the outside world. School shapes us in all aspects and helps us to become better individuals. I am proud to be an alumni of DGKIS.

Rutvik Upadhyaya

In the year 2021, I completed my graduation with a B.A.(Hons) in Liberal Arts (with a major in Political Science and minors in Law and Economics) from Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts.

In continuation with my passion for understanding the intersection and co-dependence of polity, economy and society from a research and policy perspective, I will begin pursuing my M.A. in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (Hyderabad) from late August. My interests, both during the years of my graduation as well as after it, have been definitively shaped by the analytical pedagogy of the CAIE curriculum, effectively implemented by D. G. Khetan International School and B.K. Gadia A Levels Junior College.

Allen Fernandes

B.A.-  International Culinary Arts

I was in a well known school before having joined D. G. Khetan International school, back in grade 4, which was relatively a new school. The teachers and the learning environment here have had a monumental impact in my intellect and personality to grow exponentially, so much so that, I can openly say that I am capable of learning anything I want to and succeed in it, as this is the mindset that was echoed into all of us throughout the 8 years schooling that I was there. I am certain that I wouldn’t have been half the go-getter I am today had I stayed in the school I was studying in before D. G. Khetan. The most I benefited from here was the enterprising mindset that was encouraged by all teachers and I can see myself becoming a successful businessman in my personal life real soon.

I completed my graduation in International Culinary Arts from ITM institute of Hotel management in 2020, however due to the pandemic hitting the food industry terribly, I was compelled to work in my family business which focuses on Trading in the stock market and someday soon I will use my trading profits to start a restaurant of my own.

It’s almost 6 years now since I have passed out from B.K.Gadia ‘A Levels’ Junior College and honestly, even today I feel so grateful for being a part of this school.

DGKIS has always been like an extended family and I would like to attribute a major part of my current achievements to my school. My early years of education were so fruitful with DGKIS that the future automatically brightened up. Along with academics, an overall development was ensured here.

They are raising students to be up for challenges and make their own decisions in addition to being humble and respectful. The school’s tagline rightly says “Shaping Indian Souls with a Global Vision”, because they are doing exactly that! Even with limitless exposure, we are taught to be grounded and strong headed.

I have grown into a person that I am proud of today because I leveraged the knowledge imparted, skills developed and values and beliefs instilled in me by my school.

D.G.K.I.S. It wasn’t just a school, it was my home. It made me evolve into an amazing person. From being an introvert to the sports girl of the school. I literally relive each and every moment of school even today. I still get adrenaline rush when I think about school. It was the best time of my life. Thanks to all the teachers for making sure that we have a second home forever. I really miss it all.

“I lived in my today, to make my tomorrow better.”

Everyone say that follow your passion or make your passion your profession, but in reality no one knows where to start from and which way to follow. I was also confused and lost. But what I did know was that I had to do, whatever my consume interests, so I followed what I used to love, fashion, became a fashion designer, then stepped into graduation in B.Com, but opt for correspondence. Yes, it made no sense, but to me it did, cause at the same time I started working as an accountant at my family business. So, before the graduation got over, Covid sticked, and I grabbed this chance to complete my passion of becoming a writer, got the tag of being a published writer, published co-author, published compiler, and many more. Achieved many awards as well as Kalam Ratna Award from Dr. Kalam’s Foundation. Lastly, after graduation, I am in my 1st year of PGPM (MBA from ICFAI Business School, Powai.

The thing is, life gives you challenges, hurdles, and what not, but the real happiness, the real achievement is to do what you want to live for. Live in your today, to make your tomorrow a better place to be, follow your passion, so that when it comes to tough times, you don’t have any regrets to look into, and enjoy every moment you are in.

I have spent my entire school life in D .G. Khetan International School, and I never had a question of changing my school. The school scores well in every parameter, be it academics, sports or even cultural events. Annual day events were the most memorable days of my school life, where everyone in the school (teachers and students) established strong bond with each other. Teachers are quite approachable and helpful, even after leaving this school. I am proud to be associated with my school, and I thank my teachers for giving me a strong base which will benefit me in my entire life.

Currently pursuing B. Tech in Biotechnology at Dr D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute

Only after stepping out of D.G.K.I.S. have I realized how much my school has shaped me as a person. D.G.K.I.S. has not only been a stepping stone for all my future endeavors but also taught me what hard work can fruit into. During my IGCSE prep years, it is solely because of the teachers that aided my holistic learning, could I streamline my interests in biotechnology and identify future career paths. The teachers at my school have only been warm, encouraging, and supportive beyond words, pushing me out of my shell. Through all my extracurriculars, projects, and learning outside the books, I have learned valuable lessons that resulted in me achieving great marks while preparing for my entrance exams right after school. I cherish my school years and will hold onto all the lessons as I further venture into my undergraduate degree in B. Tech Biotechnology at Dr. D. Y. Patil Biotechnology and Bioinformatics Institute.

Ram Agrawal

Medical student at Lokmanya tilak municipal medical college(Sion hospital)
Year of graduation: 2023
Batch of 2016 at DGKIS

Following the vision of always trying to explore my potential, I at a very early stage developed interest in medicine and with a family full of doctors it further helped understand the course even better. After my gcse’s I was very clear I wanted to get into MBBS so I started my preparation for NEET and appeared for the exam In 2018. I secured a seat at Sion hospital with a state merit rank of 322.
Since then, with college I have also been an active member of Medical students association of India(MSAI) and various other NGOs. During the pandemic, I realised my duty as a medical student is not limited to studying and securing a degree but I owe the society a little more. Realising this I worked as a frontline healthcare worker for a few months during the first wave at Sanjeevani hospital. D.G . Khetan provided me with high quality education facilities, great sports facilities, excellent mentoring and an exceptional social life. This helped me achieve a balanced life which is much more valuable to me than an extraordinary obsessive life.
